Committee Chair Message

Boy Scout Troop 627 is a wonderful group of scouts and parents. Our troop has been around for quite some time now and has gone through many changes throughout the years. This past year our troop changed many of our committee members and those in key positions in the troop. We have also recently changed our charter organization. Esentailly we are starting anew.

The troop has also been heading in new directions as we casually sway away from the "same old, same old" and switch our focus to the boys having more fun while earning their advancements. We are turning from an adult run troop to a scout run troop. The boys are influential in making decisions on the directions that the troop is headed.

As the new committee chair, I look forward to helping the troop head in these new directions while still holding onto the strong history of the troop. I look forward to working closely with a great committee and the parents of the troop. I look forward to seeing the boys turn into adults with a strong tie to their community and scouting.
